纽约市警方通过指纹、牙齿信息和DNA证据初步确认了在布鲁克林地铁车厢内被纵火烧死的女子的身份。

警员周二表示，遇害者是61岁的德布丽娜·卡瓦姆（Debrina Kawam），来自新泽西汤姆斯河（Toms River）。

据信她案发时无家可归，正在地铁上睡觉，随后遭到纵火。

上周五，大陪审团以四项谋杀罪起诉了这名案件嫌犯塞巴斯蒂安·萨佩塔-卡尔（Sebastian Zapeta-Calil），其中包括一项一级谋杀罪，此外他还被指控一项一级纵火罪。
